Terms of service

Settle provides self-help tools for money-related anxiety: breathing and grounding exercises, an AI companion trained on cognitive-behavioral techniques, guided worry-deconstruction exercises, mood journaling, audio content, and GAD-7 self-checks.

Settle is not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional mental-health care. The AI companion is not a therapist, counselor, or doctor, and self-check results are for self-reflection only.

If you are in crisis or think you may have an emergency, call your local emergency number or a crisis hotline immediately — see our crisis resources. Do not rely on Settle in an emergency.

Responses from the AI companion are generated by a large language model and may occasionally be inaccurate or inappropriate for your situation. You are always told when you are interacting with an AI. Treat AI output as supportive reflection, not professional guidance.

You must be at least 17 years old to use Settle. The service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

• Plans. Settle Plus is offered as a yearly subscription ($39.99/year) or a monthly subscription ($6.99/month). Local pricing may vary by region and store.
• Free trial. New subscribers may start with a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts into a paid subscription.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Billing is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their payment terms.
• Cancellation. You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds, except where required by law or store policy.
• Refunds are governed by the store you purchased from (Apple or Google).
• Free features. Panic SOS exercises, mood check-ins, and basic GAD-7 self-checks are free and will remain free.

You agree not to misuse the service: no attempting to breach its security, no scraping or reselling content, no unlawful use, and no using the AI companion to generate harmful content. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Your use of Settle is also governed by our privacy policy, which explains how we handle sensitive wellbeing data and your export and deletion rights.

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Settle is not liable for decisions you make based on app content, for interruptions of service, or for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app with reasonable notice, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
